About the artist

My journey into photography is deeply rooted in my connection to the cycles of nature, a constant source of inspiration throughout my life. From a young age, I was taken with the roses in my grandmother's garden, sparking a lasting love for flowers and the way nature’s beauty evolves with the seasons. This early connection to the natural world continues to inform my work.

I was also captivated by the dramatic play of light and shadow in art, particularly in the works of the Dutch Masters, buying postcards of their paintings on visits to the National Gallery as a child. Their ability to capture the delicate balance between life and death in their still-lifes left a lasting impression on me.
